A report covering the methodology, findings and learnings from a RECOUP-led plastic recycling campaign by Preston City Council, funded and supported by Beyondly. The project aimed at improving plastic recycling rates and reducing contamination in household collections. Through a data-driven approach, the campaign sought to understand resident behaviours, encourage positive change, and foster deeper community engagement.

The survey took the form of an informal questionnaire with images alongside questions on recycling behaviours of key items of plastics packaging such as bottles, pots, tubs, and trays and films and flexibles.
