RECOUP Deliver Sustainable Fashion Sessions

This week we delivered sustainable fashion ‘mini’ sessions at the Premier League Primary Stars Under 11 National Girls Football Tournament hosted by Peterborough United at the Idverde Training Ground!

Many of us enjoy fashion but the public’s understanding of its environmental impacts is mixed. The sessions introduced the attendees to the concept of natural resources, the environmental impact of unsustainable consumption and, importantly, ways to love fashion in a way that loves the environment too.

Participants learnt that buying less, shopping differently e.g. buying pre-loved, and caring and repairing clothes not only means they still enjoy fashion but also saves some money, helps reduce the effects of Climate Change and conserves important resources for future generations.

The sessions were delivered to approximately 130 players and 30 adults.
