BSI Begins Review of Pas 510:2021 on Plastic Pellet, Flake and Powder Loss Prevention
BSI has launched a formal review of PAS 510:2021 – Plastic pellets, flakes and powders. Handling and management throughout the supply chain to prevent their leakage to the environment. Specification.
The review, open until 14 July 2025, comes two years after publication, in line with BSI’s standard procedure for PAS documents. It aims to assess whether the current specification remains relevant, accurate, and fit for purpose.
Feedback will help determine whether PAS 510 should be confirmed, updated, withdrawn, or developed further. Organisations involved in the original steering group have been invited to provide input, and wider stakeholders are also encouraged to contribute.
RECOUP will be responding and is first seeking member input. You can access the questions here. Please provide your responses to enquiry@recoup.org by Friday 27 June.
PAS 510 was developed to support best practice across the plastic supply chain in preventing pellet, flake and powder loss to the environment, and remains a key reference point in voluntary and regulatory efforts on pellet loss prevention.
