Coveris Launches a New Stretch Sleeve Solution Called SleeveFlexR
Coveris launches a new circular stretch sleeve solution using up to 75% recycled content, although other options are available using 35% or 50% recycled content. This is made possible through Coveris’ recycling business, ReCover, that uses de-inking technology during the recycling process to produce high-quality post-consumer recyclate.
The SleeveFlexR is made from polyethylene (PE) that allow for the sleeve to fit tightly around bottles and containers without using adhesives. These sleeves are compliant with the Plastic Packaging Tax and the mandated levels on recycled content in the EU PPWR.
Business Development Director, Philipp Niehues, said “this is a breakthrough for the stretch sleeve market” stating that these stretch sleeves are innovative and work with existing infrastructure to offer real circularity.
