ReVentas’ Dissolution Recycling technology purifies polyethylene (PE) and polypropylene (PP) to produce virgin-like plastic that can be used in high-value applications and unlock the value in challenging plastic waste. ReVentas’ unique technology uses a solvent to rapidly dissolve PE and PP, filtering the plastic of all contaminants including colour, multilayers and odour, producing a colourless, ultra-pure plastic which can be sold directly to end customers. The technology operates at low temperatures and pressures, reducing the cost of production and making recycling more economically viable, whilst achieving an 80% reduction in carbon emissions over virgin plastic production. By doing this ReVentas are closing the loop in the circular economy and allowing companies to access new sustainable polyethylene and polypropylene to replace virgin resins at scale.
