PRNs and ePRNs (PERNS) now Available on EPR Digital Service

The ability to accept or reject PRNs and ePRNs for 2025-26 recycling obligations under the EPR for packaging service is now available.

Producers and compliance schemes with responsibility for meeting recycling obligations in 2025 should start using the EPR for packaging digital service to accept PRNs/ePRNs towards their 2025 balance via the Report Packaging Data (RPD) portal – NPWD can no longer be used for this purpose.

The new functionality available on the service includes:

• Search and view PRNs/ePRNS
• Accept or reject PRNs/ePRNS
• Download PRNs/ePRNs

You will also see the current amount of tonnage you have accepted towards each material category. As stated in the previous Member Update, it is important to note that PRNs and ePRNs are material specific, so surplus in one material category cannot be used to meet requirements in another.

Functionality to view individual recycling obligations for each material category for 2025 will be made available only after obligated parties have fully registered and submitted their 2024 packaging data, which must be accepted by the regulators.
