Consultation on Changes to the Technically Competent Manager Attendance

On 19, October the Environment Agency (EA) launched an open consultation requesting feedback for changes to technically competent manager (TCM) attendance at permitted sites.

The aim of the consultation is to understand views on the preferred approach for calculating TCM attendance and other rules for alternative attendance arrangements.

The consultation closes on 14 December 2023 at 11:45pm.

This is the second consultation on TCM attendance at sites with an environmental permit for a waste operation. The consultation document, found here, gives details on how the preferred approach to TCM attendance will work in future, and other proposed changes to the attendance requirements and associated guidance.
