Mike Baxter, External Affairs Director, Berry Global
Mike Joined BPI in 1988 and has held senior roles within various BPI businesses including polythene extrusion, converting and recycling.
Currently Mike is responsible for all External Affairs representing Berry Global at UK and European Government levels plus trade associations including Plastics Recyclers Europe, and the British Plastics Federation Recycling Group. He is also a Director of Berry - BPI Recycled Products.
Mike was appointed in 2016 onto the UK Government Advisory Committee on Packaging (ACP) representing the UK plastics processing and recycling sector. He is a Board Member/Trustee of the UK charity Recycling of Used Plastics Limited (RECOUP), a member of the BPF Plastics & Packaging Management Committee, President of the European plastics trade body EuPF and a Director of PCEP – Polyolefin Circular Economy Platform (Europe)..

Judy Proctor, E&B Future Regulation Plastics Strategy Lead, Environment Agency
Judy Proctor works for the Environment Agency; an organisation that works to protect and improve the environment to make it a better place for people and wildlife in England. This includes reducing the impacts of flooding, promoting sustainable development and delivering environmental regulation.
She currently leads the national strategy setting the strategic direction for the organisation’s work on plastics: reducing plastics in the environment, preserving the value of plastics in the circular economy and highlighting emerging issues. She has over twenty year’s operational and national experience in delivering environmental improvements. Many of these outcomes are delivered in partnership with partners, businesses, customers and government.
Judy champions the environment locally in her roles on the Integrated Territorial Investment Board for Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, the Local Nature Partnership, and as a judge for Cornwall’s Sustainable Business Awards.

Simon Fisher, Environment and Land Use Adviser, NFU
Simon has had a long career in the NFU for over 37 years that has included a number of different NFU roles in horticulture, Senior Regional Policy Adviser and a County Adviser. For the past two years he has been the NFU Environment and Land Use Adviser dealing with a large and varied brief from issues such as HS2, to flood risk and water management, and the development of post Brexit agricultural policy including the forthcoming Environmental Land Management Scheme.

 Barry Friesen, General Manager, Cleanfarms
Barry is the General Manager of Cleanfarms Inc having joined them in 2009. 
An experienced General Manager with a demonstrated history of working in the environmental services industry, Barry is skilled in Sustainable Development, Waste, Corporate Social Responsibility, Environmental Compliance, and Environmental Issues. 
A Mechanical Engineering graduate from the Technical University of Nova Scotia, Barry is a strong operations professional with an Engineering focus. 

Franz Kraus, TIPA
Franz Kraus is the Director of Public Affairs at TIPA® Corp and has been working in the public affairs arena since 1999. Previously, Franz worked for the BMW Group and two German Members of the European Parliament, before moving on to Kraft Foods and Mondelez International in 2008 to work on environment, international trade, food and agricultural policy. Franz joined TIPA® in November 2019, where he manages Public Affairs for the Israeli start-up that produces compostable solutions for flexible packaging.
